The Arizona Star (newspaper) and the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) announced last week a special partnership to launch the first-ever Arizona-Sonora Business Resource Guide. Designed to boost business between Arizona and the Mexican state of Sonora, the Guide is slated to be published in March.
According to the THCC, which was awarded “Chamber of the Year” for 2013, Mexico is already Arizona’s #1 foreign trading partner with $6.8 billion worth of exports to Arizona, and our State’s exports to Mexico totaling $6.2 billion. Sonora is the main driver of this growth due to the extensive maquiladora (manufacturer) presence and expanding middle class.
The Americas Trade Center is ideally located in this active commerce corridor, facilitating small to medium-sized business gain immediate office presence in this area via our Executive Suites. We are also working closely with the THCC in actively supporting its members, the Guide, and its special launch events. Local businesses are encouraged to obtain a listing at: http://arizona-sonora.com.
